Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO standards to advance quality to a world-class level
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA) for customer complaints, nonconformances and internal quality issues
Lead PPAP, FMEA, control plans, capability studies and other quality tools in alignment with customer and regulatory requirements
Own responsibility for real-time troubleshooting of quality concerns on the manufacturing floor and driving rapid countermeasures and sustainment
Perform inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process production and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications
Collaborate with design, engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality during new product development and process changes
Manage calibration and maintenance of measurement and test equipment
Deploy and maintain Statistical Process Control of critical dimensions to apply advanced statistical methods to improve quality of processes and products
Train production and support staff in quality procedures and standards
Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce defects, improve efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualification
Required
3+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (plastic injection molding or water treatment industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, quality systems and manufacturing best practices
Hands-on experience with PPAP, FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis and CAPA
Proficiency with measurement systems, gages, CMMs and other quality tools
Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence improvements
Preferred
Experience in the plastic injection molding or water treatment industry
Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
