Process Engineer I
Amrize is a company focused on building North America, and they are seeking a Process Engineer I to drive operational improvements in cement production. The role involves optimizing plant performance, ensuring compliance, and enhancing process control systems using a strong foundation in chemical engineering.

Responsibilities
Analyze plant operations and recommend process improvements, including performing cost/benefit analyses to support decision-making
Develop and implement process control automation systems and related computer applications to enhance production control and monitoring
Prepare and maintain detailed computer reports on operational efficiencies, process performance, and failure investigation testing
Conduct tests and data analyses on plant systems to evaluate and improve equipment and process efficiencies
Support plant management in maintaining compliance with environmental and quality performance regulations
Provide training to shift supervisors on SAP reporting, TIS (Technical Information System), and other process-related systems
Lead or assist in the implementation of new systems (e.g., TIS) to improve operational data management and reporting
Perform ISO audits and participate in month-end activity reporting
Complete other duties as assigned in support of plant operations and continuous improvement activities

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
1 - 3 years of required work experience
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
SAP
TIS
Advanced understanding of fluid dynamics, chemistry, and chemical kinetics
Demonstrated experience in process optimization, data analysis, and control systems within a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively across all departments with all levels of the organization
Commitment to workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE")
Preferred
Field of Study Preferred: Chemical Engineering
Cement or heavy industry experience preferred
Familiarity with automation systems, SAP, and process data reporting tools
