Industrial Engineering Intern - San Antonio, TX (Summer 2026)
Clarios is a leader in energy storage solutions, powering vehicles from major automakers. They are seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern to assist with time and motion studies, support continuous improvement projects, and analyze production data to identify opportunities for enhancement.
Responsibilities
Assisting in time and motion studies, layout analysis, and process mapping
Supporting continuous improvement projects (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
Collecting and analyzing production or operations data to identify improvement opportunities
Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation
Assisting with performance metrics tracking and visual management systems (dashboards, KPIs)
Participating in cross-functional meetings and presenting findings or recommendations
Collaborate in cross-functional teams, applying problem-solving and communication skills to bridge ideas from design to execution
Use data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar) to translate raw data into actionable insights
Apply Lean principles to simplify processes and reduce waste
Engage in on-site observations and performance reviews to validate your findings
Present your results and suggestions to the leadership team, gaining exposure to strategic decision-making
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
