Responsibilities
Help provide engineering technical and management support in studying, analyzing, and evaluating engineering problems, and developing solutions
Assisting in the development of contract documentation and the development of technical plans, specifications, cost estimates relating to the various categories of engineering support services, studies provided, and associated reports
Assist in the preparation of a wide range of engineering and feasibility studies, providing engineering and technical support for design review, performance feasibility studies, and designs of ships, boat, and shipboard systems in support of existing and future vessel acquisition programs
Conduct studies of ship systems and spaces to factor human interaction as it relates to safety, survivability, and occupational health
Incorporate recommendations into ship specifications and design
Qualification

Incorporate recommendations into ship specifications and design
Bachelor's degree or in relevant field such as industrial engineering, safety engineering, occupational health/safety, industrial ergonomics, and systems engineering
Minimum of 4 years' experience applying system safety processes in order to document, mitigate, and eliminate and reduce hazards to an acceptable level
Minimum of 3 years' experience working on system safety issues in the marine environment
Must be a U.S. citizen
A secret security clearance
