Greater Wichita YMCA is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Developer to enhance their digital member experience. The role focuses on both enhancing the product roadmap and resolving technical challenges related to Ruby on Rails, iOS, and Android development.

Responsibilities

Roadmap Development & Enhancement
Collaborate with product and leadership teams to design, plan, and deliver enhancements aligned with YMCA 360’s strategic goals
Drive technical innovation and scalability within the platform architecture
Day-to-Day Support & Troubleshooting
Investigate and resolve application issues across web and mobile environments (Ruby on Rails, iOS, Android)
Monitor system health, performance, and user experience; identify and implement improvements
Platform Growth & Optimization
Design and implement solutions for future growth—focusing on modularity, performance, and sustainability
Recommend and execute cost-conscious strategies for infrastructure, hosting, and third-party integrations
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality software on schedule
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers
Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and best practices for the engineering team

Qualification

Required

5+ years of full-stack development experience, including Ruby on Rails, iOS (Swift/SwiftUI), and Android (Kotlin/Java)
Proven track record developing and deploying production-level applications at scale
Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of relational databases and version control (PostgreSQL, Git)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred

Experience with video streaming, content management systems, or fitness/wellness platforms
Familiarity with YMCA 360 platform or similar community-based digital services
Local to Wichita, Kansas – prefer ability to work in a hybrid or on-site capacity
