Responsibilities
Write, edit, and format content for government proposals (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs), technical volumes, past performance narratives, resumes, and compliance matrices
Interview internal teams and clients to gather technical, operational, and strategic input needed to develop proposal and project documentation
Translate complex requirements, performance work statements, and government directives into digestible, actionable content
Ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with solicitation instructions and evaluation criteria
Support the creation of templates, SOPs, and documentation standards to streamline response processes
Develop and maintain a repository of reusable content (e.g., boilerplate language, bios, project descriptions)
Assist in preparing content for client briefings, onboarding guides, and internal knowledge management tools
Collaborate with graphic designers or use visual tools to include charts, timelines, infographics, and other visuals in proposal or project documentation
Participate in color team reviews, proposal kickoffs, and post-submission debriefs
Maintain version control and document history using content management tools or proposal platforms
Qualification
Required
Drafting, editing, and organizing content for government proposals, compliance documents, internal playbooks, and client-facing deliverables
Clear and concise writing style
Strong attention to contractual requirements
Ability to synthesize input from subject matter experts (SMEs), project leads, and clients
Collaboration cross-functionally to produce persuasive and compliant content for federal submissions and related documentation

Preferred
Prior experience supporting federal government proposals or contract documentation (civilian or DoD)
Familiarity with FAR, proposal compliance, and government acquisition terminology
Ability to work independently with SMEs and manage multiple deadlines across overlapping projects
Excellent verbal communication skills to extract clear, relevant content from technical or executive stakeholders
Experience using proposal collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Google Workspace, MS Teams)
