Senior Quality Manager

Responsibilities
Quality Leadership: Assists the Director with developing, implementing and managing the company’s overall Quality program to ensure high standards are maintained across all projects
Quality Audits: Conducts regular QC audits of project job sites, and issues formal QC Audit results/actions
Documentation and Reporting: Ensures that the quality team’s Quality documentation is maintained and up to date, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, corrective action plans, and project quality plans. Provides regular reports to senior management on the status of Quality initiatives, non-compliance issues, and corrective actions. Presents findings to Owner’s Representative as needed
Training and Development: Leads the development and delivery of training programs for field and office teams to improve quality practices and awareness. Promotes a culture of continuous improvement
Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Evaluates the quality performance of suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and industry standards
Problem Resolution: Identifies and addresses quality issues in a timely manner, working collaboratively with project teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence
Compliance: Stays up to date with construction regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring the company complies with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations
Team Leadership: Fosters a culture of collaboration and growth by leading and mentoring team members, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to enhance individual and team performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in quality management, engineering, or a related field or equivalent preferred, or equivalent experience
Typically, minimum of ten years of construction experience to include public works and federal construction projects, including a minimum of nine years' experience in Quality for major public works projects
Advanced understanding of three phase Quality Control (QC)
Advanced knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO, HCAI, DSA, NAVFAC/USACE QCM)
Proficiency in quality management software and tools
Strategic understanding of Jurisdictional process and compliance
Proven ability to manage, collaborate and partner with SI's (Special Inspectors)
Advanced understanding of applicable codes, standards, and compliance requirements
Proven experience managing close out and commissioning of projects
Capable of analyzing data, identifying trends, and offering insights into Quality improvements
Advanced ability to effectively lead, manage and mentor staff
Ability to clearly define goals, understand audiences, manage productive meetings, manage and build team morale
Strategic communication skills. Ability to address an audience of various sizes and effectively communicate his/her message and ideas Ability to write clear and concise thoughts in a professional manner
Strategic decision quality and use of sound judgement
Strategic customer focus and the ability to work cohesively with many constituents
Displays and attitude of ownership and responsibility

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock
The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud
