The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Researcher Associate to join their team in the Med - Immunology/Rheumatology department. This role involves providing technical support in research on the mechanism of the gout flare, including conducting complex studies and analyses, designing experiments, and collaborating with senior researchers.

Responsibilities

Sets up and performs routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals
Runs assays, cell/tissue culture, animal studies, etc
Receives, enters data, processes and performs DNA/RNA extractions on incoming samples to the Gout Registry and other Divisional clinical trials
Assists in the maintenance and trouble-shooting of lab equipment and supplies
Performs basic statistical data analysis and assists in omics analysis
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field OR Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience required
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement

Experience in programing languages is preferred
