Litigation Associate Supervising Attorney – Stay Housed LA Program

They are seeking a Litigation Associate Supervising Attorney who will lead a team in providing legal representation and advocacy for tenants facing eviction, while also overseeing case management and community partnerships.

Responsibilities

Represent tenants in unlawful detainer litigation
Supervise attorneys and legal fellows
Oversee intake, case management, case review, review substantive casework, accompany new advocates in court hearings and back up advocates and volunteers at our weekly housing clinics
Prepare project data, reports, and staff evaluations
Regularly communicate with community partners and participate in community partner management meetings
Be a member of the NLSLA Leadership Team and will interact with other managers to ensure quality of services are provided to clients
Support, mentor, guide and evaluate professional development of staff
Travel to NLSLA program offices, courthouses, and other locations throughout Los Angeles County may be required

Required

Experienced and dynamic litigator
Strong commitment to anti-poverty work
Ability to lead legal advocacy across multiple practice areas and forums
Experience supervising attorneys and legal fellows
Ability to oversee intake, case management, and case review
Experience preparing project data, reports, and staff evaluations
Strong communication skills to regularly communicate with community partners
Ability to participate in community partner management meetings
Experience supporting, mentoring, guiding, and evaluating professional development of staff
Willingness to travel to NLSLA program offices, courthouses, and other locations throughout Los Angeles County
