The Hydraulic Technician will perform service and repair for hydraulic components, evaluate and test various hydraulic systems, and provide field service to customers.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, build and test cylinders, pumps and motors

Evaluate warranty hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors

Attend advanced training within hydraulic field

Reverse engineer hydraulic components

Create and document testing procedures

Provide hydraulic field service to off-site customers on an as needed basis

Design test fixtures and test set ups

Maintain and ensures acceptable cleanliness levels within hydraulic test area and hydraulic work station

Ensures safety rules and safe work practices are followed throughout department

Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development

Must be able to correctly size, design and select proper seals and sealing material

Able to read precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers

Own every basic hand tool and many specialty tools to service hydraulic equipment at an advanced level

Must be able to identify component serviceability and level with a high degree of accuracy

Able to trouble shoot hydraulic systems and assist customers by phone or email
