Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining infrastructure for deploying ML models in both real-time and batch environments
Building and maintaining endpoints to serve ML models
Collaborating with cross discipline engineers to integrate ML services into user-facing applications
Working with platform engineers to align with infrastructure best practices and ensure scalable deployments
Reviewing pull requests and contributing to code quality across our teams
Monitoring and maintaining cloud-based ML services, ensuring reliability and performance
Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment
Writing unit tests and following software engineering principles to ensure code is maintainable
Contributing to the development and improvement to our model registry, including tracking and implementation of model discontinuation upgrades and model monitoring
Qualification
Required
Solid experience as a Python developer, ideally in a machine learning engineering context
Hands-on experience of integrated cloud data science platforms particularly Databricks or GCP
Good understanding of core data science principles and understanding of challenges of migrating research code into production code
Strong understanding of software engineering best practice
Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based development workflows
Understanding of API operations monitoring and logging
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on technical tasks
Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical team members in agile Scrum ceremonies – roadmap planning, feature workshops, backlog elaboration, code review
Preferred
Experience with additional technologies, real-time data platforms or an insurance background
