Employee Health and Safety Manager

The Employee Health and Safety Manager will partner with and influence the distribution center to ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety policies and procedures, while executing programs aimed at injury prevention and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall management of the assigned DC/FC EHS program by ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal codes regarding environmental, health and safety
Executes loss control and compliance strategies developed in coordination by the Home Office
Responds to and leads all serious incident and Government Agency inspections, interactions and coordinates responses
Provides comprehensive risk assessments and EHS data analysis to build trust and confidence with the Operations team and influences change
Monitors industry regulatory trends and partners with DC/FC leadership team on OSHA and other regulatory agency preparedness procedures to proactively address potential challenges
Evaluates and identifies loss-producing physical conditions and associate behaviors in the distribution centers and provides recommendations to reduce accidents and related costs
Submits evaluations to senior management for use in performance appraisals
Supports DCs/FCs in implementing network-developed solutions to mitigate losses
Ensures company developed loss reduction strategies, policies and procedures are implemented in the DC/FC and makes recommendations for better adherence to those policies and procedures
Performs comprehensive case management in an effort to control worker's compensation expenses
Develops and executes training for first responder teams on all shifts to triage associate injuries and provides guidance on potential medical treatment
Completes timely and robust injury reporting procedures and follows up with TJX Workers Compensation and Zurich Insurance
Partners with applicable OHN to discuss temporary accommodations for associates with restrictions
Monitors execution of all work related injury reviews with DCs/FCs' leadership and reports on non-compliance
Consultation responsibilities to 3PLs, ARRCs/Service Centers and Store Operations
Special projects as assigned
