Vice President, Data Science and Analytics

Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of Alto’s data science, analytics, DevSecOps, and AI strategy in close partnership with the CTO and other executive leaders
Build and lead high-performing teams across data science, data engineering, business intelligence, and analytics functions
Establish and maintain a unified data platform, ensuring data accessibility, quality, and governance across the organization
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Growth teams to enable data-driven decisions that improve patient experience, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes
Advance our use of machine learning and AI to optimize logistics, personalize patient engagement, and drive predictive insights across the business
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related field
12+ years of progressive experience in data science, data engineering, or analytics
10+ years in senior leadership roles managing large data teams
Proven success in developing and implementing enterprise-wide data and analytics strategies at scale, ideally within healthcare, healthtech, pharmacy, or logistics-focused organizations
Deep expertise in machine learning, predictive modeling, and AI applications in business contexts
Strong understanding of modern data architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Snowflake), and analytics tools (e.g., Looker, dbt, Airflow)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate technical insights into business impact
Proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools (Slack, GSuite, Jira, etc.)
Preferred
Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or related)
Experience scaling data and analytics functions in high-growth or multi-site organizations
Strong understanding of healthcare data systems, EHRs, or pharmacy fulfillment workflows
Demonstrated success in leveraging AI and data science to transform customer or patient experiences
Passion for mission-driven work that improves healthcare access, affordability, and outcomes
