Repair Development Engineer- Aeroderivative Engine Operations (AEO)
GE Aerospace is seeking experienced Repair Development Engineers to join their Aeroderivative Engine Operations team. The role involves developing and implementing repairs for the Aeroderivative engine fleet, providing technical leadership, and ensuring quality and efficiency in repair processes.

Responsibilities
Development of repair and inspection technologies to meet short term and long-term business needs
Ability to work across functions in the development, implementation, and final industrialization of a repair to support our shops and customer shops
Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services as it pertains to repair
Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting assigned projects to find creative solutions to complex problems with technical variety and/or interdependent processes. This will include being a resource for less experienced colleagues
Leverage prior experience and knowledge and broaden knowledge of one’s own technical discipline to meet product deliverables. This may require use of multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision
Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers, including leadership
Share engineering information and promote open dialogue. This includes timely communications on significant issues or developments
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of additional experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Repair
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
Preferred
6 years of additional experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Repair
