Information Security Administrator
The Inland Empire Utilities Agency is a regional wastewater treatment agency seeking a skilled and motivated Information Security Administrator to join their Information Technology team. This role involves monitoring and responding to cyber threats, administering security tools, and supporting governance, risk, and compliance functions to ensure the security of critical systems and data.

Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in cybersecurity, information technology, or a closely related field
At least five years of progressively responsible professional-level experience in information security governance, information security programs, tools and technologies including network monitoring, and vulnerability management
Experience managing enterprise systems and platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and core security tools including firewalls, SIEM, VPNs, and endpoint protection
Skilled in threat detection, network analysis, and responding to security alerts
A valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Agency's vehicle insurance policy
Possession of one of the following information security certifications or similar certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Security+ (Plus) Certification, or International Society of Automation (ISA) 62443
Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate information security risks; analyze and respond effectively to cybersecurity incidents; and apply sound judgment in prioritizing and implementing remediation strategies
Skill in developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Strong ability to use cybersecurity tools and technologies for monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, and forensic analysis; skilled in evaluating complex technical issues and developing practical, secure solutions
Excellent ability to convey technical security concepts to non-technical audiences, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead engaging security awareness and training initiatives across the organization
Preferred
Experience supporting security for Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control System (ICS) environments is desirable including participating in simulated cyber-attacks (red team) and defense (blue team) scenarios
