Systems Administrator, Mid - Army (TS/SCI)
Praescient Analytics is a leader in delivering advanced analytic, data engineering, and technology integration solutions in support of the Department of Defense. They are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support a U.S. Army program, responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing IT systems and infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), data communication systems, and both physical and virtual servers
• Monitor system performance and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources
• Review system and application logs; verify successful completion of scheduled jobs such as system backups
• Analyze server and network utilization and manage user access controls and permissions
• Perform software installation, upgrades, and license management
• Support network modeling, analysis, and planning to optimize infrastructure performance and capacity
• Conduct regular system administration tasks and maintain accurate system logs and documentation
• Identify and implement system improvements, upgrades, and corrective actions in line with program requirements
• Manage and operate tool permissions, deploy new tools and servers, and maintain system documentation
• Develop and maintain IT application documentation, system specifications, and test plans per established standards and methodologies
Qualification
Required
Active TS/SCI clearance required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of experience in system administration within a DoD or federal environment
Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux operating systems administration
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall management, and system security practices
Familiarity with backup/recovery tools, system patching, and monitoring utilities
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred
Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator, or VMware Certified Professional)
Experience supporting Army or other DoD enterprise IT environments
Knowledge of system accreditation and RMF compliance processes
