Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close including review of journal entries and reconciliations and tracking of close process to ensure deadlines are met
Effectively supervise, develop and motivate staff of full-time employees performing corporate accounting functions
Support requests from internal auditors, external auditors and financial reporting team
Identify and address process improvement opportunities
Assist in technical accounting matters
Other tasks and special projects, as assigned
Qualification
Required
5 to 10 years of previous accounting experience required
BS degree in Accounting or other business field required
Preferred
Airline Accounting experience preferred
Public accounting experience preferred
CPA preferred
3+ years supervisory or experience in a leadership role preferred
