Policy and Regulatory Affairs Intern

Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market. The Policy and Regulatory Affairs Intern will support the deployment of the Zoox robotaxi and lead independent policy research and analysis on autonomous vehicle state-level regulations.

Responsibilities

Have a valuable opportunity to tackle a substantive, independent project on state-level autonomous vehicle policy
Have the chance to learn from industry-leading experts, gain critical insight into state-level political considerations for autonomous vehicles
Get an on-the-ground understanding of the regulatory processes enabling the deployment of a purpose-built robotaxi in some of America's densest and most congested cities

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree
Must be returning to school to continue your education upon completing this internship
Good academic standing
Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
Ability to relocate to a city near Foster City, California for the duration of the internship
Prior work or significant internship experience in federal, state, or local government policy is required
Demonstrated leadership, project management, and organizational skills
Demonstrated examples of high-level research and policy analysis

Preferred

Experience in California policy, legislative, or regulatory affairs
