They are seeking a highly motivated student or graduate to join the NBA 2K TechArt team, where the intern will assist in rigging, maintaining assets, and learning from expert Technical Artists.

Responsibilities

Assist in rigging and maintaining clothing, and prop assets

Setup dynamic systems for real-time game assets

Build and test artwork in the game engine

Work closely with the character, animation, and/or environment art teams

Troubleshoot issues

Learn and grow with some of the top talent in the industry

Attend regular team meetings

Qualification

Required

Student or recent graduate

Love for taking on challenging technical assignments

Passionate about creating great quality art

Ability to shift priorities

Comfortable with working in Maya or willingness to learn

Basic rigging skills

Can demonstrate skinning of organic models (clothing, characters etc.)

Understanding of scripting or programming experience, preferably using Python

Love for video games (not just ours!)
