Start in 2026 SpringWhisker is redefining what it means to live with cats, and they are seeking a Production Continuous Improvement Intern for the summer of 2026. The intern will participate in training and projects within various production departments, focusing on Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities.

Responsibilities
Audits work instructions and maintain current production processes
Promotes and supports Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in the facility
Collects data on assembly processes and cycle times
Learns and applies Lean/6 Sigma techniques to steer improvements to quality, cost, and delivery
Researches and analyzes equipment operations to improve efficiency
Assists with inventory preparations
Recognizes improvement opportunities
Contributes to safety, quality, and operational performance by joining existing teams and other tasks as assigned
Helps improve our material delivery systems and management through developing flow racks and kanban systems for production departments
Promotes and supports Lean Principles
Will perform additional responsibilities when required
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in Production or Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field
Possesses practical mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities
High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
Comfortable with hand tools to create prototype parts and assemblies
Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
