The role involves providing specialized IT solutions, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring network integrity while supporting end users and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with departments suck as Broadband Field Services, NOCC, and Call Center to develop and maintain our PON Network
Create Visio diagrams and detailed Methods of Procedure (MOP) documents
Maintain accurate and timely network records
Schedule and test equipment/network turn-ups and manage related projects
Remain available for network incidents 24x7 as part of an on-call rotation
Support a team-based, high-performance culture
Perform additional duties as assigned
Prepare accurate timelines and costs for FTTx/OLT expansion projects
Perform capacity analysis and provide recommendations on a regular basis
Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance window activities as needed to support the department
Train personnel and share documentation across departments
Serve as an escalation point for junior engineers
Qualification
Required
For positions at level I, we require: Four-year degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, or equivalent experience or 1-2 years
Working knowledge of Layer 2
Proficiency in Windows, Excel, and Word
For Positions At Level II, We Require: Four-year degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, or equivalent experience of 2-4 years
Advanced knowledge of Layer 2 networking
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to operate in a complex, dynamic environment
For Positions At Level III, We Require: Four-year degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, or equivalent experience of 4-6 years
Advanced knowledge of Layer 3 networking
Troubleshooting experience in xDSL/PON environments
Leadership potential and team influence
Exceptional knowledge of optical RF theory
Preferred
CCNA or similar certification is preferred
CCNP certification is preferred
Knowledge of Video technologies such as TV Headend, Earth Stations, Satellite and Off-Air Signal Acquisition, Video Encoding/Encryption/Middleware
Hands on experience with Nokia Altiplano, Adtran TA5000, Cherrypicker, Motorola DAC, Cisco DNCS, Elemental encoders
PON experience
Knowledge of MPLS, anycast, and multicast
