Senior Compensation Analyst in Human Resources

UTHealth Houston is seeking to expand its human resources team with a Senior Compensation Analyst who will support management and senior leadership positions across the University and clinical areas. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and administering compensation programs and policies to recruit and retain a high-caliber workforce while maintaining strong relationships with business partners.

Responsibilities

Responsible for job analysis, job evaluation, and maintenance of university job descriptions and classification structure
Researches market data to analyze the competitiveness of compensation practices, and makes recommendations to management
Monitors and audits pay practices to ensure compliance with the University policies and guidelines
Responsible for the development of pay programs, including salary structure changes, merit programs, incentive programs, and other special pay programs
Participates in the development and implementation of salary administration policies and guidelines
Prepares reports and performs extensive analysis of compensation data
Presents findings and recommendations for action to University Leadership
Prepares and delivers communications to the organization to keep them informed and aware of compensation programs
Responds to ad hoc requests concerning Federal and State laws and regulations; UT-H policies and practices; standard business practices, and local and national trends
Researches, analyzes, and understands various federal and state regulations to ensure compliance in compensation programs and policies
Functions as a departmental and organizational technical expert in the area of compensation, interpreting information, and providing professional advice and counseling
May participate in salary surveys
May serve as a lead to other compensation staff members
Other duties and projects as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or related field or experience in lieu of degree
Four Years Of Compensation Experience
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills
Must have excellent MS Office skills, especially advanced-level Excel and Access skills
Ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure as defined in Texas Business and Commerce Code

Preferred

Compensation and clinical, or higher education background preferred
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) by WorldatWork preferred
