Responsibilities

Determining goals and objectives that need additional emphasis; developing measures that evaluate performance; making recommendations for program improvement; and managing all resources as corporate assets
Performing liaison with high-ranking officials in other Federal agencies, top-level managers in DRS, and various governing boards/committees
Ensuring and overseeing the gathering and analysis of information from all available sources such as intelligence reports, and various databases and identifying of known or potential terrorists and instruments of terror, criminals, smuggling patterns, trends, and methods, and other threats to Headquarters elements, U.S. borders, and national security
Overseeing the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of a program or several program segments, each of which is managed through separate subordinate organizational units
Leading complex projects, often cutting across organizational activity lines and defining critical quality factors, process improvements on key initiatives that result in significant improvements in service delivery, reduced operational unit costs, increased quality, and reduced process cycle time

Firearm Requirement-This position requires that the incumbent meet initial and continuing qualifications in the use of firearms as outlined in the Gun Control Act of 1968, amended by the Lautenberg Amendment of 1996
Motor Vehicle Operation: You must possess the Ability to operate a Government Owned Vehicle. A valid, non-restricted driver's license is required
DHS uses E-Verify, an Internet-based system, to confirm the eligibility of all newly hired employees to work in the United States
Financial Disclosure is required
Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Reviewing and analyzes carriers, importers, and exporters manifests, permits, certificates, entries, invoices, and associated documents to determine the admissibility of merchandise or cargo, and levels of risk for possible violations of laws and threats to national security; Developing, planning and participating in tactical operations, such as pre-primary blitzes, intensive boardings, and roving; Managing the inspection of identity and travel documents presented during examination to determine validity and authenticity; Overseeing and managing a wide range of record checks using a variety of databases and systems and uses tactical intelligence to identify high-risk travelers; Reviewing commercial documents, inspecting conveyances and examining cargo destined for export from the United States
You must meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process
You must meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 11/14/2025
