Responsibilities

Carry out the duties and responsibilities of an Assistant Coach in the Academy’s Soccer program
Have responsibility for the development and conduct of educational courses and programs, research, instruction and academic counseling of Midshipmen, and assuming a share of departmental and other academic responsibilities

Required

Minimum Education Requirement: The educational requirement for this Sports Specialist position includes a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a field related to the duties of the position
At least 1 academic year of teaching courses at the high school level (or above) or 1 sports season of full-time experience (or equivalent) coaching and recruiting for a soccer program at the college or university level
You must be a U.S.Citizen and eligible for consideration
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for the Selective Service
Applicants may be required to complete a background/security investigation and meet preliminary requirements prior to onboarding
This job will be filled by an alternative hiring process and is not in the competitive service. Applicants selected for an excepted service position may be subject to a two-year trial period

Preferred

Master's Degree in a field related to the duties of the position
At least two or more full years coaching at the collegiate level
At least two or more full years of recruiting at the collegiate level
