Responsibilities
You will be responsible for daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and leading the month-end close process
This position requires a hands-on leader willing to step in, stabilize the environment, and drive process improvements
You will mentor and train an AP direct report, partner closely with the CFO, and help shift the department from reactive to structured and efficient
The accuracy of financial data and future scalability of the business depend on this role
Qualification
Required
An accountant or newly promoted accounting manager who is ready for more ownership
Someone who can roll up their sleeves and work through disorganization
Solid understanding of core accounting principles
Experience in AP/AR
Comfort working in environments that lack structure
Must be willing to work onsite in Claremont, NC for training
Comfortable in a straightforward, blue-collar workplace culture
Preferred
Experience with inventory accounting
Experience with legacy or proprietary ERPs
