Responsibilities

Write high-level and/or detailed Design Specifications
Select components based on Flex and/or customer Approved Vendor List to support technical requirements and meet Flex supply chain needs
Schematic design
Technical supervision of CAD resources. In some cases may also be responsible for CAD work
Review of Design for Manufacturing and Testability reports to maximize production yields
Prototype board bring-up, test, validation, debug and documentation
Support for manufacturing prototype, pilot and mass production builds
Foster relationships with suppliers to understand and influence technology roadmaps
May also be assigned to support production related debug or NPI activities
May also participate in quote development, product architecture or technology development activities

Required

Bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent electrical engineering experience
Demonstrates operations and technical skills
Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts
Requires a working level understanding of Computer Assisted Hardware Design tools such as Schematic & Layout tools & Digital simulation tools
