Responsibilities

Direct a team of engineers to develop technical solutions based on system performance and operational specifications
Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion systems
Resolve production /technical issues related to existing Raytheon or subcontractor product designs
Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule and costs
Present reviews of technical data for program leadership, technical staff, and customer community. Manage related risk discussions
Lead small teams to success with schedule, budget, and technical execution
Engage in personal technical growth and facilitate technical growth in peers and junior engineers. Help to understand what opportunities are needed to mature the organization on the technical front
Travel to Tewksbury, MA; Marlborough, MA; Andover, MA; Woburn, MA; may be required depending on the assignment

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
Minimum of 8 years of experience in power system design, power conversion, power distribution, power sub-system design and/or control systems
Experience leading design teams within the Naval Shipboard Power business sector
Experience with Naval Shipboard Electrical Standards; MIL-STD-1399, MIL-STD-917, and/or MIL-STD-461
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
Hardware development experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) environment
Demonstrated ability to lead/manage a technical team
Experience generating technical documentation and reports
Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components
Experience interfacing with procurement and manufacturing as well as external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs
Experience interfacing with DoD customer community
Existing security clearance
Excellent written and verbal communication
