Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance department plans to ensure the ongoing functionality and efficiency of production equipment
Establish and oversee maintenance department training program, including technical and safety related topics, to be executed by all maintenance employees
Oversee the on-shift preventative and corrective maintenance activities ensuring compliance with approved procedures, directives, processes, and policies
Evaluate systems to prioritize tasks and effectively plan work
Organize and establish work schedules and monthly maintenance plans considering resource availability that align with customer needs and satisfy financial obligations
Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer happiness
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians. Provide clear direction to employees and contractors ensuring personnel are appropriately trained, authorized, and aware of their responsibilities. Communicate to peers requirements at supporting process to ensure smooth process flow
Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts
Perform daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members
Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of repair projects
Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communication, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
Provide coaching, training, and development to team members
Achieve target performance levels through disciplined execution of the Standard Production System (SPS) including but not limited to:
Tiered accountability
Visual management system(s)
Leader Standard Work
Demonstrate clear focus on accountability to daily results, rapid identification of root cause and effective implementation of corrective actions
Drive development of a strong problem-solving culture, through application of tools
Champion sustained improvements in safety, quality, equipment reliability, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements7
Drive World-class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly

Required

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of maintenance experience OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of maintenance experience
Leadership experience in a maintenance setting required
U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred

Clear, concise, and effective communicator
Experience working with all levels of management
Highly self-directed, quick learner, with a strong drive for results
Experience with Continuous Improvement principles (lean manufacturing, ACE/CORE, QCPC, etc.)
Consistent track record in team leadership roles
Ability to plan projects and to craft clear written/verbal/analytical/org skills to influence business objectives
Computer proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office​
Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution
