Machinist - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

Responsibilities
Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts
Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements
Set-up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories
Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents
Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met
Maintain a clean work environment
Qualification
Required
HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of machining experience
Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
Technical trade school degree in machining
Training to include set-up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories
5+ years of machining experience
5-axis horizontal or vertical milling experience
Experience with VTL, Lathes, and/or Mills
FANUC Controller experience
