Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of dimensional inspection duties relating to overhaul and repair of engines or components. Most of the task will require the inspector to perform dimensional checks using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). Inspector should be familiar and able to work a variety of precision measurement gages; height gage, micrometer, calipers and optical comparator
Work from general instructions and specifications such as drawings, service bulletins, repair requests, overhaul manuals, and other technical publications
Must be able to interpret complex blueprint drawings and work with engineering when measuring complicated component configurations. Must be able to read, understand measurement and tolerances
Use Geometric Dimensional Tolerance (PWA360) when measuring crucial fits and clearances
Must be able to provide component dimensions, visual and dimensional inspection of a variety of engine components to determine serviceability, and conformance to overhaul / repair manual specifications
Comply with all company work rules, follow safe work practices and procedures established to protect the environment, and report to supervisor all unsafe acts, hazardous conditions, and conditions which impact or have the potential to impact the environment

Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
1+ year of experience in dimensional inspection, and/or operating CMM or similar inspection equipment

Preferred

Associates degree in a STEM field
Working knowledge of GD&T symbols
Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
CMM programming experience using PCDMIS software
