Responsibilities

Perform the duties of an Operator 2, Machine Liquid – Mixer & Refiner
Perform the duties of an Operator 3, Machine Liquid – Coating
Adjust pre-refiner/refiner and conch temperatures and product fineness according to recipe and customer specifications
Manually add raw materials like powders, fat, flavors and emulsifiers in different parts of the process according to recipes
Verify viscosity of finished product and adjust as needed
Enter recipe data according to production schedule
Record raw material incoming number on production order sheet
Enters performance confirmations and shift information into SAP
Pump product from conches to finished/vertical tanks according to production schedule
Conduct basic and preventative maintenance, report improvements as needed
Sample finished products
Requesting and transferring raw materials from storage silo to daily bin
Lead small team projects
Break coverage
PTO coverage
Train level 2 and level 3 Machine Operators

Qualification

Food manufacturing experienceSAPQuality/Sensory trainingChocolate Manufacturing trainingMath skillsBasic computer knowledgeCommunication skillsTeam leadership

Required

High school diploma or GED
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Ability to lead a small team through soft skills (delegation, teamwork, problem solving)
Math skills, required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Minimum two (2) years food manufacturing experience, required
Basic computer knowledge, required
Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time
Bend, squat, stretch, reach: frequently
Ability to climb stairs, often
Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs, often
Comfortable working at heights
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility
Noise level can exceed 0.85 decibels
