Abrasive Form is a world leader in high precision Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine machining, manufacturing turbine blades and vanes for major gas turbine manufacturers and militaries. The Radius & Prep Operator will be responsible for smoothing edges of parts, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a clean work area while proactively suggesting process improvements.

Responsibilities

Using a motorized cylindrical brush, operator smooths edges of part according to customer specifications

Insert radius in certain parts using a grinding wheel

Ensure parts are within the defined specifications to meet quality standards

Detailed quality assurance review of work on a continuous basis taking full ownership of the part operation assigned. Appropriately label parts which do not meet quality standards

Complete a daily timecard to accurately reflect the amount of time per job activity

Reviews operational processes and makes suggestions for process improvements in production, quality and company performance

Proactively complete daily asset care requirements and subsequently escalate as needed maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and maintenance team using established maintenance ticket process

Keep work area clean, organized, and free from clutter. The work area and machine must be wiped down each shift
