This role involves supporting administrative and operational functions related to research, training, and grant proposal development, providing hands-on experience in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities
Assist with digitizing and organizing physical files and records as needed
Maintain and update internal databases and spreadsheets
Conduct Searches for potential grant funding opportunities
Conduct grant proposal reviews including but not limited to narrative review and editing
Support the preparation and submission of grant proposals and related documentation
Perform general office tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and data entry
Help coordinate training sessions and workshops, including logistics and materials
Provide support for special projects and events hosted by OSP
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks to represent JSU and OSP
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be enrolled as a JSU student taking at least three (3) hours per fall or spring semester
If not a first time student, applicant must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher
Selected applicants must provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or printout of enrollment/GPA from MyJaxState
Currently enrolled as a student at Jacksonville State University
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Interest in public service, grants development, or English is preferred
