Socket Fiber is on a mission to bring high-speed fiber internet to communities that need it most. As a Residential Sales Representative, you will engage with residents to promote fiber optic services, build relationships, and drive sales in the Columbia area.

Responsibilities

Hitting the Streets: Go door-to-door introducing residents to our fiber optic services. Be the friendly, positive face of Socket Fiber
Building Rapport: Engage with potential customers, understand their needs, and communicate how our service solves real problems
Demonstrating Value: Use tools and training to present the benefits of fiber internet with clarity and confidence
Close Sales: Have compelling conversations that lead to conversions—whether face-to-face or over the phone
Following Up: Stay in touch with new customers and coordinate with our install team to ensure a seamless experience
Provide Feedback: Share insights from the field with the marketing team to help refine messaging and outreach
Staying Safe: Always follow company safety protocols and guidelines

Qualification

Direct sales experienceCustomer-facing rolesTelecommunications knowledgeCompetitive mindsetDesire to learnEthical standardsCommunication skills

Required

Current & Valid Driver's License with no restrictions
Flexibility to work evenings and occasional Saturdays
Ability to travel within a 30-mile radius, with some overnight stays
Physical ability to walk for extended periods, often several miles daily
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Preferred

High School Diploma or GED
Previous experience in direct sales or customer-facing roles
General knowledge of telecommunications services (i.e. internet, wireless, phone systems)
Passion for our mission and a desire to grow with a forward-thinking company
