As a Capital Markets Counsel, you will provide strategic legal guidance on digital asset market making, OTC, derivatives, and capital markets while collaborating with various teams to support product development and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Support the business development and trading functions by advising on customer transactions, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of agreements relating to FalconX’s core business activities
Strong knowledge of capital markets, derivatives, equities and prime brokerage
Partner with cross-functional teams on product development and assess legal complexities of potential service offerings
Lead legal-commercial negotiations: Drafting and negotiating agreements related to our business lines (OTC, liquidity provision, derivatives documentation and trading agreements)
General overall support to the Markets and Products Legal team

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
3-5 years of experience at a top-tier law firm specializing in financial services and/or crypto
Experience in capital markets, equities, derivatives and prime brokerage
Strong self-motivation and drive are essential
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering client-first solutions for legal and business issues
Curiosity and willingness to rapidly learn other areas of law and business
Ability to understand the bigger picture and commercial strategy; quick grasp of new functional areas and cross-functional mindset
