Interior Designer 2 - Intermediate Level
MHTN Architects is looking for a creative and driven Interior Designer to join their collaborative design team. In this intermediate-level role, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of innovative architectural projects that shape meaningful environments, working alongside experienced designers and architects to bring spaces to life.

Responsibilities
Contribute to design and presentation ideation and creation across all phases of design, including schematic design and design development
Plan, design, and furnish interiors for architectural projects with creativity and purpose
Research and select interior products, apply established design standards and sustainable best practices
Develop designs that are practical, aesthetic, and aligned with the intended use of each space
Communicate design ideas clearly through sketching, visualization, and construction documentation
Apply knowledge of building and construction codes to ensure compliant design solutions
Create and maintain program and construction documents throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with project architects and interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic design approaches
Interface directly with clients to understand and respond to project-specific needs
Promote socially and environmentally responsible design through informed and respectful client engagement
Conduct site visits during construction phases to verify design implementation and manage punch list items
Take ownership of design tasks with increasing independence, while receiving mentorship and support from senior designers
Qualification
Required
Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent graphic and visualization abilities to effectively communicate design concepts
Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering concepts
Familiarity with building materials and codes, material compatibility, construction techniques, and cost considerations
Proficient knowledge of furniture systems, vendors, procurement processes, and material palette selection
Highly organized with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Effective time-management skills to balance multiple priorities and deadlines
5 to 9 years of professional commercial Interior Design experience
Degree in Interior Design or related field
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
NCIDQ Certification preferred
