Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and Manufacturing Plans to assemble composite and sheet metal components

Bond various materials such as composites, metals, and laminates, for assemblies, parts, components, and structures

Align components and sub-assemblies on jigs and fixtures

Layout, drill, form, and trim aircraft component parts and sub-assemblies

Perform part-fitting operations including filing, sawing, burring, trimming, drilling, reaming, and riveting

Mix and apply 2-part adhesive for sealing and edge bonding

Familiar with manufacturing execution systems for electronic buy off and status of work

Other duties as assigned

Required

Ability to read and interpret aircraft blueprints

Experience working with mylar overlays

Minimum 6 years of experience in composites and/or sheet metal assembly

Experience/ expertise using drill motors, rivet guns, die grinders, cleco pliers, countersink cages, and standard hand tools and measurement equipment including calipers and micrometers

Knowledge of aircraft hardware, materials, and processes

Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude

Education: High School Diploma
