Tool Build Supervisor

Responsibilities
Supervise and manage activities directly related to daily business and department needs as well as support training needs
Help lead a positive safe culture in our organization
Develop, analyze, and deliver simple to complex information to direct reports
Complete daily Task list with 3 week milestones
Effectively communicate daily schedules, goals, quality issues/ concerns between shifts to ensure customer expectations are met
Provide mentoring, leadership and direction to employees under the lead’s supervision
Ensure individuals receive job-specific training and make sure personnel are compliant with all applicable training requirements
Assign work assignments based on daily department needs, ensure quality products are produced and successfully achieve department metrics
Ensure and enforce second review of large or complex rigging set ups
Assisting management in establishing and achieving program goals and objectives for the department including Continuous Improvement projects
Identify and elevate issues to management
Facilitate assessment of team’s knowledge, skill and ability for accomplishing project/tasks and provide necessary on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring
Build, Assemble and revise fixtures, jigs, gauges, hand applies and tooling and when needed
Interpretation of blueprints, Model Based Definition information, sketches and specifications
Review of engineering information, tool design drawings and customer requirements to determine methods and sequence of operations to fabricate tools
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Any additional duties assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, experience with conventional machines, jig and fixture manufacturing
3+ years' experience leading/supervising employees in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a 'US Person' as defined by 22.C.F.R. § is required

Able to work varied shifts, overtime and weekends when necessary
