The role involves supervising billing operations, ensuring timely reimbursement, and managing accounts receivable within the Sparrow revenue cycle.

Responsibilities
Supervise the day-to-day activities of the assigned groups, including providing guidance to direct-report associates
Hire, train, and evaluate direct-report associates. Responsible for addressing Caregiver performance issues
Responsible for day-to-day integration and coordination of computerized practice management systems
Maximize revenue, monitor and analyze account receivable reports. Develop and implement action plans for managing accounts receivable levels and prepares monthly statistical reporting of accounts receivable
Responsible for implementation, training, and support of practice site staff with regard to billing policies and procedures of Sparrow Professional Billing
Responsible for optimizing coding/reimbursement and ensuring compliance with third party payers
In conjunction with Manager/Director, develop department plans and goals, and follow through with implementation within areas of responsibility
In conjunction with Manager/Director, develop budget plan and monitor monthly budget statements
Responsible for compliance efforts of the departments/affiliate, including documentation of policies, staff education, monitoring, and reporting
Any other assigned projects
Qualification
Required
Two years supervisory experience
High school diploma or G.E.D and 5 years experience in outpatient billing with a minimum of two years at the supervisory level
OR Associate's degree in Business or Accounting
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet applications
Preferred
AAPC Certification
EPIC experience
