Senior Project Manager, Facilities Management [R0149314]
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Facilities Management to oversee capital construction and deferred maintenance projects. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes while managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor lower-level project management staff to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance across the project portfolio
Manage capital construction, deferred maintenance, and planning initiatives to align with FM’s maintenance needs and other long-term plans
Conduct site visits, enforce contract compliance, manage budgets, schedules, and oversee project closeout activities. Lead meetings, develop project scopes, and resolve conflicts to ensure successful project outcomes
Oversee consultant and contractor selection, procurement, and contract negotiation in coordination with Purchasing
Serve as FM’s designated prevailing wage coordinator, ensuring documentation accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance with state requirements
Track and analyze project performance metrics (budget, schedule, change orders) to support planning, reporting, and process improvements. Align with FM’s work order tracking and accounting systems
Collaborate with FM staff, Planning and Construction staff, faculty, leadership, and external agencies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Structural Engineering; Construction or Project Management, Facilities Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible construction project management experience in design, construction, or facilities management, preferably in a large institutional or commercial environment
Demonstrated experience managing large and complex capital construction projects above $5M
Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date
Preferred
Demonstrated experience managing large and complex capital construction projects above $10M
Operational experience in a similar or greater capacity
Experience in a higher education setting and maintenance department
PMP (Project Management Professional)
CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
LEED AP
PE (Professional Engineer)
RA (Registered Architect)
