Spirit AeroSystems is a company that designs and builds aerostructures for commercial and defense customers. The Sealer role involves sealing, applying compounds, and ensuring quality control for major assemblies and sub-assemblies in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell
Apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal and pressure test, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established processes and procedures
Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements
Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression
Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression
Use measuring instruments as required to accomplish work assignments
Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as: errors, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc
Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels
Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure
Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking
Qualification
Required
All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks
Majority of new hires will be hired on 2nd shift
All Candidates must pass the WorkKeys Assessment or provide verification that they have passed the WorkKeys Assessment
Delay in completing your WorkKeys Assessment will result in a delay in your start date
You may complete your assessment in advance of an interview
