Responsibilities

Sets up both the Grille 39 and main dining area ensuring table settings, menus, reserved signs, etc. are in place, and that the dining areas are clean and vacuumed and ready for service

Welcomes residents and guests in a warm and friendly manner, and seats them based on their preferences

Serves residents and guests lunch in Grille 39

Assists servers in clearing and setting tables and delivering food as needed to diners

Manages reservations for lunch and dinner

Manages the room service orders, ensuring all orders are delivered timely and accurately

Enters Club Plan and guest charges into the system every evening

Responds to resident requests and questions politely or involves supervisor, as appropriate

Commits to aligning behavior in accordance with the ERS Core Values and Ways of Working

Required

Two years front of the house dining room experience required; prior mentor experience preferred

Is able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language and follow written/oral instructions

Possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

Is able to bend, stoop, lift and push (up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis), stir and move intermittently throughout the workday

Possesses sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met

Must be fully up-to-date required vaccinations
