The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is inviting applications for the Manager of Student Information Functional Operations position. This role is key in leading the student information systems, ensuring effective support for university objectives, and managing the functional operations of various Campus Solutions modules.

Responsibilities
Manage the functional operations of UNLV's student information systems (MyUNLV) and ensure alignment with university objectives
Provide leadership, oversight, and subject matter expertise for the functional configuration of Campus Solutions modules including Admissions, Registration, Financial Aid, and more
Serve as a liaison between campus business units and the functional support team, gathering requirements and managing functional enhancement requests
Oversee system testing and promote best practices in the use and configuration of Campus Solutions
Supervise a team of functional and business analysts, providing direction and support
Communicate functional system updates and coordinate testing and training across campus
Maintain a customer-focused approach in all duties
Qualification
Required
An earned Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing or supporting enterprise information systems, with at least 3 years specifically in a student information system environment (Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions preferred)
Demonstrated success in leading or participating on projects or teams for system implementation, upgrade, modifications, or enhancements
Substantial exposure to the functional operations of key student services (e.g., admissions, registration, financial aid)
Familiarity with the technical underpinnings of an ERP system like Campus Solutions
Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment
Comprehensive knowledge of student administration functions in higher education, including admissions, enrollment, registration, financial aid, and advising
In-depth understanding of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions functionality in modules such as Campus Community, Student Records, Academic Advising, Financial Aid, and Admissions
Awareness of compliance and regulatory requirements affecting student systems (e.g., FERPA, Title IV, IPEDS)
Familiarity with business process documentation and user support best practices
Demonstrated ability to manage system configuration, test scenarios, quality assurance, monitoring, and user support
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Skill in leading a team, conducting performance reviews, and building team capability
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess functional issues and collaborate across teams to implement effective, student-centered solutions
Ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams and campus departments
Ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into system configurations
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve functional system issues
Ability to lead initiatives for continuous process and system improvement
Preferred
Over 7 years of experience in higher education information technology, including functional experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
Experience at an institution similar in size and complexity to UNLV (R1 research university with a diverse student population)
Direct experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 (student administration modules) and Student Financial Planning or other cloud-based ERP student information system solutions
Leadership or active participation in a major upgrade or module implementation in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or Oracle Student Financial Planning
Experience with ancillary systems (e.g., CRM systems such as Salesforce, learning management systems, degree audit tools, data warehouses) and their integration with a SIS
A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, M.Sc. in Computer Science, M.Sc. in Information Systems, or M.S./M.Ed./Ph.D. in Higher Education) is highly desirable
Understanding of how student systems interact with ancillary systems (CRM, learning management systems, degree audit tools, Workday, etc)
Awareness of PeopleSoft Fluid UI and other evolving Oracle capabilities and cloud solutions
Experience using PeopleSoft tools and functionality such as PS Query, Oracle SQL, Oracle Notification Framework, Integration Broker, etc
Familiarity and experience with project management methodologies and tools
Ability to advocate for students and other users while balancing system constraints and compliance needs
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with resilience and adaptability
