Responsibilities
Work with the development and marketing teams to define system level features, performance and specifications and implement appropriate hardware and firmware designs
Design to comply with FCC and UL standards as they relate to Access Control products
Perform circuit design, schematic entry, and scheduling of software completion
Design product interfaces (displays, buttons, keypads, small motor drivers), ensure design for manufacturability and perform vendor evaluation/selection
Implement designs with intuitive user interfaces
Qualification
Required
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Solid 7+ years of experience designing and coding microprocessor based products
Experience coding for peripherals such as FLASH data storage, I2C, SPI, RS232/485, ADC / DAC circuits, keypads, motor drivers
Thorough knowledge of C language software design is required
Firmware development experience using C in development environments such as IAR
Experience with analog/digital design
Ability to move a product through the entire life cycle, from concept through development, into manufacturing
Minimum BSEE
Preferred
Experience with Texas Instruments MSP430 a plus
RF skills developing Tx/Rx protocols a plus
Security industry experience is a plus
