Responsibilities
Operates spray truck and Ultra Low Volume (ULV) spray equipment/machines properly within federal, state, and County regulations to treat assigned areas; works with a variety of pesticides; prepares and maintains routine records of operations; assists with updating spray maps; assists with refurbishing equipment and trucks during the non-mosquito season; and maintains a clean and safe vehicle and crew area
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions
Proficient with iPads to log spray mission data
Must be safety-minded and be able to work well in a demanding, team-oriented environment
Ability to lift 55 lbs
Reliable transportation to get to work
Have and maintain a valid SC Driver's License with a safe driving record
Ability to obtain pesticide applicator's license, Category 8 within 6 months
Available to report to work during hazardous weather or emergency conditions
Preferred
Familiarity with County geography a plus
