Responsibilities

Implementing infrastructure and tools to enable visibility into the health of thousands of applications
Partner with engineers across Netflix to build tools and infrastructure
Gather timely and actionable insights that help the Netflix service operate reliably
Work on foundational services relied upon by 3500 engineers
Combine many observability signals into usable, actionable insights

Qualification

Required

Strong proficiency in Java or Scala, and comfortable working with Python
Strong background in at least one of the following: observability engineering or distributed systems
Implementing critical platform infrastructure services for large-scale systems
Confident leading operational improvements, support, automation, and ease of life enhancements

Preferred

Experience working with product and design teams
Experience working in Observability domain
Exposure to frontend integrations and GraphQL
Past experience supporting the UI development of tools leveraging the backend systems
Experience working with Akka or Apache Pekko
