Airframe Team Lead

Innodyne Systems is seeking an Airframe Team Lead to assist supervisors in managing workloads and ensuring quality and safety in operations. The role involves directing associates, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Strategically manage and schedule workloads to consistently meet customer expectations while supporting company objectives
Complete reporting activities (Operations KPIs/Metrics) to help support problem solving activities
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment following best practices (5s)
Make certain that assigned personnel have in their possession and follow the appropriate technical data during the performance of any maintenance function
Give appropriate feedback to employees regarding performance (positive and constructive)
Ensure the proper handling of all parts while being processed through the maintenance function
Ensure that all maintenance documentation is completed legibly and correctly
Ensure that all tools and equipment being used are calibrated and in serviceable condition
Ensure all required maintenance actions are performed in accordance with the applicable manufacturers or customer-provided maintenance manual and that all actions are correctly and completely documented on the appropriate maintenance forms
Ensure Technicians are following the applicable RSM/QCM procedure
Review for accuracy and quality work performed within their respective shops
Ensure that preliminary, hidden damage, in-process inspections are thoroughly and correctly annotated on the appropriate forms
Help support and work with Quality to ensure proper training
Verify team members are appropriately trained prior to using equipment
Coordinate any/all necessary duties with the production supervisor to be assigned to other qualified and certified personnel within the repair stations when scheduled to be out of the office
Observe all safety and security procedures
Reports unsafe conditions and helps create and implement corrective actions
Other duties as assigned

Required

Proven team player/leader who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, well-developed problem-solving skills, solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of the organization
Experience building teams, using problem solving skills and tools such as 5-why analysis, and utilizing Gemba/communication boards to highlight areas of opportunity that can be used to solve problems
Strong troubleshooting knowledge down to component level using measuring gauges and test equipment as applicable
Knowledge of electronic business systems Microsoft Office, Corridor, Quantum, SAP or other internal (ERP/MRP) business management systems
Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
Looking for a hands-on individual with the ability to see the big picture
Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, and customers
Customer focused and results oriented
Ability to read and interpret documents such as Parts Manuals, drawing/prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Preferred

Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement experience (Lean / Six Sigma) preferred
FAA Airframe license or aerospace experience preferred
