Cybersecurity Faculty Non-Tenure Track or Tenure Track
Southern Utah University is seeking applications for full-time faculty positions in the Department of Computer Science and Cybersecurity. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity courses, engaging in scholarly activity for tenure-track positions, and contributing to curriculum development and service activities within the department.

Responsibilities
Providing a quality educational experience in cybersecurity courses in a student-centered learning environment
Curriculum development
Scholarly activity
Active participation on service committees
Other duties as needed to support a robust and dynamic environment for student learning and support the continuance of the programs' accreditation
Teaching a variety of in-person cybersecurity courses in a student-centered environment
Ability to teach general information technology, Cisco and other networking, and Oracle in addition to cybersecurity is a plus
Main course load will involve teaching cybersecurity courses, including system security fundamentals, defensive security, penetration testing, information assurance, plus other courses as needed
Development and use of effective teaching strategies and curriculum development
Engage collaboratively with students and/or peers on scholarly activity that generates peer-reviewed publications
Establish and maintain an active and sustained research agenda in Cybersecurity or a closely related computing field, leading to peer-reviewed publications
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research projects
Seek external funding opportunities to support scholarly activities
Active participation and collaboration with the department to enhance a robust Cybersecurity curriculum based upon industry standards as communicated by an Industry Advisory Board (IAB)
Participation in and support of the continuance of the program accreditation within the Department (including ABET and NCAE-C designation) and other committee work
Qualification
Required
Ph.D., DSc (Tenure Track) or MS (Non-Tenure Track) degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
Commitment and ability to deliver quality teaching
Evidence of research/scholarly activity (Tenure Track only)
Effective communication and ability to interact positively with faculty, staff, and students
Preferred
Ability to teach general information technology, Cisco and other networking, and Oracle in addition to cybersecurity
