Responsibilities
Creating and applying the state and local tax laws to benefit our clients while minimizing their tax obligations
Completing sale and use tax reverse audits
Reviewing client companies' accounts payables data and using tax accruals to determine where sales and use tax is paid
Analyzing sales and use tax payments for refund opportunities
Developing appeals schedules and documenting the transactions for a requested refund
Developing appeals and representing client companies at administrative levels such as PA Board of Appeals and Board of Finance and Revenue
Elevating appeals and engaging in settlement negotiations as necessary with the office of Attorney General
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate Degree
Undergraduate Degree in Accounting
Strong professional ethics / integrity / reliability
Dedication to providing and ensuring exceptional client services
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Superior understanding of the entire Internal Revenue Code, tax laws of the commonwealth of PA, and local jurisdictions and adjoining states
The immediate ability to work in the United States
