Safety Investigations Engineer / Analyst

The Safety Investigations Engineer / Analyst will assist with data trend analysis and vehicle safety investigations, while also preparing documentation and supporting regulatory submissions.

Assist with data trend analysis, and vehicle safety investigations
Review Technical Service Bulletins (TSB), Special Service Messages (SSM) and Over the Air (OTA) update documentation and facilitate reviews and process development

GSAR / CDR experience a plus
Brake Noise / Lost Brakes experience a plus
Monitor and analyze daily reports from customers and dealers to identify potential safety concerns
Prepare technical and non-technical documentation
Support ASO in responding to government inquiries with data and technical analysis
Interface with Global Data Insight & Analytics (GDI&A) for failure rate projections and investigation support
Review TSBs, SSMs, and OTAs and facilitate ASO reviews
Facilitate reviews and development and documentation of processes, procedures and training
Will be responsible for daily monitoring of incoming reports, data analysis, and documentation preparation for regulatory submission
This includes working with the Global Recall Implementation Database (GRID) and interfacing with Product Development, Quality, Customer Service, and Manufacturing teams
Reports and metrics on safety data trends and ASO key priority indicators
Documentation of investigation findings, regulatory submissions, and maintenance of records in compliance with retention guidelines
Reviews of Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), Special Service Messages (SSMs), and Over the Air updates (OTAs)
Documentation of local procedure, training, and development materials
A strong background in data analysis and vehicle systems is preferred
Effectiveness in data analysis, documentation accuracy, and contribution to achieving objectives
Close collaboration with ASO and other departments for data analysis, reporting, and investigation documentation
Regular project assessments, gap analyses, and feedback sessions are planned

Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to interface effectively with diverse, cross-functional organizations and global teams
Effective oral communication and strong technical writing skills
Preferred
GSAR / CDR experience a plus
Brake Noise / Lost Brakes experience a plus
Quality or warranty data analysis experience preferred
Procedure development and implementation skills are preferred
Experience with product development or manufacturing processes
